Polycom Rubberised Cork Sheets and components are produced from high grade cork granules which are imported from the Mediterranean region of Spain and Portugal.These cork granules are then intimately bonded with an Elastomer (Neoprene,Nitrile or SBR).This provides a material in which the natural compressibility of cork is combined with the resilience and mechanical strength of rubber. The cellular construction of cork,together with the inherent properties of rubber, makes Rubberised Cork a perfect gasket material.Elasticity is particularly important when gaskets are exposed to varying pressure and temperature over long periods of time.Polycom Rubberised Cork Sheets and components retain the elasticity for long periods of time under extreme temperature and liquid immersion conditions.

| Precision Polycom offers a range of Rubberised Cork Sheets depending upon the application and requirement of the customer.The company is currently manufacturing 9 standard grades of Rubberised Cork Sheets. These are namely RC 50A, RC 70A, RC 80A, RC 50B, RC 70B, RC 80B, RC 50C, RC 70C, RC 80C.These grades have varied properties, starting from General Purpose, Good Oil Resistant, High Oil Resistant to Excellent Oil Resistant. The customer can choose the grades required depending upon the end use. (refer Technical Guide). The use of Rubberised Cork Components like Gaskets and Frames drastically reduce the cost of the material at the customers’ end . Precision Polycom specializes in manufacture of jointless Gaskets and Frames, which ensure zero leakage of oil from the Transformer and protecting it from rain and dust. These components are manufactured totally as per the sample or drawing provided by the customer.
The Gaskets and Frames can be manufactured in all the grades offered by us. They can be made in any shape,size and thickness, depending on customer’s specification and requirement. |

These are used in gasketing of Tank Flanges in the Transformer. Proper sealing of the tank ensures that the Transformer is protected from heat, moisture and dust. Use of Rubberised Cork Strips reduce wastage and production cost to a large extent.
Rubberised Cork Strips are available in all the grades being manufactured by us. These come in Roll form.
